I was recently faced with needing to completely replace our existing 17 year old unit. We came back from vacation and our unit was shot. We did talk to Preferred Choice Heating & Air Conditioning, along with several other businesses. We found Bradley and Brian to be very responsive and also very comprehensive in their assessment of our situation. Most of the other companies simply looked at the unit we had and quoted a price for a new unit. Bradley and Brian took the time to walk through the entire house to assess where all the return units were and to better understand the flow of the air and what our needs were. When they came out for the initial assessment, we were obviously without air and it was the end of July. The next day, they had rearranged their schedules so they could get out and begin to immediately pull out the old unit and to begin to replace the new. There were a couple of other items that needed to be adjusted, which were not typical of a normal installation because of the construction of our house. Bradley was afraid this would cause a delay and that the work would need to continue into a third day. To their credit, they had the necessary people out on the job and had us up and running by 4:30 on the second day. Needless to say we were very appreciative of their efforts. I would not hesitate to recommend Preferred Choice Heating & Air Conditioning to any of my friends or family. The workers were professional, polite, and courteous. They provided excellent service at a fair price.

On June 22, 2010, we bought a Trane Heat Pump, an energy efficient unit, from Preferred Choice Heating & Air Conditioning. Bradley Tate and his employees did a very professional job. They installed the unit outside, working almost nonstop except for lunch. Then the thermostat and return was installed on the inside. Their mess was cleaned up on the inside and out. When I say mess, I mean they took off the old unit, packaging, etc. Then the thermostat was tested to make sure the new unit was working properly. We found this just as important as part of the job. We have had other companies to install appliances in our home; however, they did not test the appliances before they left. We had to call these other companies to come back out. So that is why we can say Preferred Choice Heating & Air Conditioning is a very thorough and professional company. We have always kept records of all bills we pay. See below what we saved on our power bill since the new unit was installed. The June bill came in before the unit was installed and July’s power bill has a few days of the old unit’s charges.

The January 2010 statement was our highest power bill of $321.26. We can’t wait to see what we will have saved on our January 2011 bill!

Our house was built in the 1950s. Preferred Choice Heating & Air Conditioning recently replaced our old oil heating and electrical A/C systems with a brand new gas pack furnace and state-of-the-art A/C system.
